I was traveling to Cannes and wanted to see more of the famous French Riviera. So we traveled over to Saint-Tropez. Ferry travel is the greatest option. From Cannes, the ferry ride takes about an hour and a half and about 40€.

We bought our ferry tickets from Trans Côte d’Azur maritime in Cannes, a day before our travel to Saint-Tropez. This helpful navigator gave bus, taxi, and walking instructions to the water port ticket agency. We chose public transit, which took only 8-10 minutes.
On our way back from the port to our hotel, we opted to take the bus once more. We were surprised to learn that the bus service had a limited schedule. It’s possible that it was due to the time of our return. As a result, we opted for an expensive taxi ride back to the hotel!
The next day we took the ferry. If you’re going to the coastline without a tour guide, be prepared. There was no directional signage posted on where to find stores, galleries or restaurants. I finally discovered the Tourism Office after our last hour of exploring the island. I wish I had found it sooner. All of the restaurants, boutiques, and galleries are along the Vieux Port (Old Port), within walking distance of the Tourism Office (Old Port).
As I walked around the coastal town, I was awestruck. Surrounded by lovely, colorful buildings that housed talented artist galleries, tucked away chic restaurants and fashionable boutiques.
Tip: Check the ferry schedule ahead of time to ensure you have enough time to enjoy the island.
Saint-Tropez I will be back!
