After a few days of enjoying my stay, soaking up the sun and indulging in all the kisses the sun had to offer. I received a millennial text. It was a reminder for TABOO beach club. I glanced at the time and decided to make my way back to my room to change. I began to scramble around for last minute dress options. I finally opted for my yellow pleated, off the shoulder maxi dress. The dress was light weight, just the right length for a petite or tall person. I loved the elastic around the shoulders, it was strong enough to keep the neck line down. Perfect choice. So I grabbed my key card and made my way to the lobby.
I purposely entered the back hotel lobby where the bar was located to grab a drink. I half way finished my drink before the taxi arrived. As the driver drove down the street making a few turns, we finally turnt off onto this two-way narrow busy street full of hotels, restaurants, scooters, bumper to bumper cars and horns honking, it was a wild wild strip. Crowd control was not a priority! No sidewalks, no crosswalks. Enter at your own risk and just like that we entered TABOO at our own risk.
As we approached the entrance you could hear the music, but don’t get too pumped in your musical head space. Security will check you at the rocky pre-entrance. The main entrance of the restaurant was tucked back from the street. Behind the restaurant was the beach club (bring your swimsuits).
We waited by the entrance for our hostess. She checked us in and escorted us to our tables. WARNING! be prepared to let loose. The music had me twirling to my seat. Don’t fight the urge to do a couple fist pumps, head shaking and some feet tapping before you sit. You may even twerk a little and run for the pool behind your table ~ jump in! yaasss…jump in! No worries it’s a judge free zone.

Our table wasted no time with ordering, we scanned the QR menu code. The menu selection was a Mediterranean vibe and exotic drinks. Waiter! I would like a VOODOO, Salmon , Tuscan salad and others opted for the Seafood Croquettes, Surf and Turf. I was not disappointed, stuffed and delighted . Everything was delicious! TABOO experience will leave you feeling like a free spirited Bohemian. Relax live your life and unwind with some TABOO hookah.
